Editor / Motion GFX / VFX / Compositor

Ryan Gilbert began his advertising career 15 years ago as an intern at Red Car, and eventually became an assistant editor under the tutelage of the famed Bob Carr. After Red Car, Ryan built Utopic’s Finishing, Motion Graphics and Visual Effects departments from the ground up as their director of Motion Graphics. While there, Ryan oversaw work on big brands such as Kohler, Serta, ConAgra, Southern Comfort, Squarespace, Firestone, Kraft, Kelloggs, Marlboro, Nissan, and even got the opportunity to work alongside John Malkovich.

In 2019, Ryan opened Prysm Studios in a joint effort with MK Films to offer a full-service production and post-production facility. Prysm Studios partners with local area artists to offer Editorial, 2D/3D Motion Graphics and Visual Effects.

In his spare time, Ryan loves to run marathons, compete in triathlons and organize group runs. On the weekends, he can be found at the end of a dock fishing, or listening to vinyl while cooking for friends and family. He’s inspired by the photo-real artwork of Chuck Close, the black and white photography of Ansel Adams, and the hundreds of talented artists he gets to work with.
